어글리어스 첫 번째 POP-UP <남의 집 귀한 자식>
:귀하게 자란 것은 모두 귀하게 소비되어야 한다.

여기, 마트에서는 ‘못난이’라 불리며 외면받는 농산물이 있습니다. 조금 작거나 휘었다는 이유만으로 무려 전세계 농산물 생산량의 3분의 1이 버려지고 있어요. 하지만 농부에게는 못난이 감자 한 알, 휘어진 대파 한 줄기 모두 애지중지 키운 자식들입니다. 매일 아침 흙을 만지고, 병충해를 살피고, 때로는 밤새 비닐을 걷고 지주대를 세우며 정성으로 기른, 귀한 결실이죠.

<남의 집 귀한 자식 POP-UP>은 어글리어스가 구출한 못난이 농산물의 이야기를 소개하는 자리입니다. 외형으로 A급과 B급을 구분하는 시장 논리에서 벗어나, 우리가 먹고 싶은 진짜 좋은 농산물은 무엇인지 이야기합니다. 한때 외면받던 못난이들이 누군가의 ‘귀한 자식’으로 성수에 나섰습니다. 이들의 첫 외출에 함께해주세요!

UGLYUS First POP-UP: “Someone’s Precious Child”
:Anything raised with care deserves to be consumed with care.

At the supermarket, these fruits and vegetables are labeled “ugly” and pushed aside. A bit too small, slightly misshapen—just for that, one-third of the world's agricultural produce goes to waste. But to the farmers, even a knobby potato or a crooked scallion is a cherished child—nurtured with great care, day in and day out. Each morning they work the soil, inspect for pests, and sometimes stay up all night pulling plastic sheets and staking supports. These are the precious results of their labor.

“Someone’s Precious Child” POP-UP is a showcase of UGLYUS’s rescued "ugly" produce. It’s a chance to share the stories of these imperfect fruits and vegetables and to ask: What truly makes good food? Stepping away from a market logic that ranks produce by looks alone, we’re inviting you to rediscover the value of food grown with love. Once overlooked, these so-called “uglies” now step out proudly in Seongsu—as someone’s precious child. Come celebrate their very first outing with us!
